Is there parking nearby to where we take our surf lessons?
Surf’s up at 825 S. Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, CA 92651 – our spot for those epic Laguna Beach surf lessons. Stoked to ride the gnarly waves but not sure where to anchor your four-wheeled ship? No worries, mate, we’ve got you covered!
You’ll find a bounty of metered parking lining the nearby cross streets. Check out Saint Ann’s and Cleo streets – they’re the hot spots for all seafaring vehicles. These streets are merely a minute’s trot from where you’ll be waxing your board and zipping up your wetsuit.
Will I get cold when we're doing our surf lesson?
That’s a NO! With our snug wetsuits, feeling cold is as likely as finding a seashell in the desert.
Rolling up in the winter months for your Laguna Beach surf lesson? We’d suggest bundling up in warm clothing before you arrive. Consider it your pre-surf hug, keeping your body toasty before you slip into your wetsuit. Think of it as your personal fortress against the cold, your knight in shining neoprene!
Are there sharks where we do our lessons?
Not a chance! Laguna Beach is so chilled out, even the sharks prefer to surf somewhere else.
Our waters are famous for being a shark-free zone. Throughout the entire history of Laguna Beach, we’ve never had a single shark attack. It’s like sharks took a look at our gnarly waves and said, “Nah, those human dudes are too radical for us.”
Do I need to bring anything to my surfing lesson?
Wondering what to bring? You don’t need to load up your car with all the surf gear under the sun. No, sir! We’ve got you covered there!
All you need to bring is sunscreen and your most positive attitude. Yep, you heard that right. Sunscreen to protect your skin from that glorious Laguna Beach sun and a positive vibe to go with it. Trust us, nothing says ‘pro surfer’ more than a smiling face that’s ready to take on the waves.
Is it ok if I have never surfed before?
At our Laguna Beach surf lessons, we specialize in turning absolute beginners into wave-crushing enthusiasts.
Our favorite thing to see is the spark in someone’s eyes the first time they stand up on their surfboard, the rush of adrenaline, and the inevitable splash of laughter when they tumble back into the water. That’s the beauty of surfing – each fall is just a fun, refreshing start to the next big ride!
Put aside any fears of being a newbie, the only green you’ll be seeing are the awesome green waves you’ll be surfing.
Do I need to bring my own surfboard?
You do not need to bring your own surfboard – you can choose from our fleet of over 20 surfboards, each one waiting patiently to be the ride of your life. From shortboards to longboards, beginners to pros, we’ve got something for everyone.
Do I need to bring my own wetsuit?
Nope! we have an epic stash of over 40 wetsuits. Sizes? We’ve got it all, from grommet sizes to triple XL, ensuring everyone can suit up comfortably, whatever their size. And ladies, we haven’t forgotten you! We stock female wetsuits specifically tailored for a better fit, letting you ride the waves with grace and style.
Will I stand up on my first surf lesson?
Catching a wave with us is just like getting served a slice of pizza at a beachside shack – 90% of the time, you’re gonna get it on the first try! Now, if you’re worried about not standing up during your initial surf lesson at Laguna Beach, then stop fretting and start laughing because we are here for you.
What if I can’t swim?
We know, a non-swimmer in the ocean seems like a fish without fins, but at our Laguna Beach surf lessons, we believe in the “no wave too big, no surfer too small” philosophy. Safety is our mantra and fun is our game. It’s like wearing a helmet on a bicycle – you might not always need it, but it’s there if you do.
Our qualified surf instructors are ready to show you the ropes, or rather, the waves, ensuring that you are comfortable and secure throughout your surf lesson.
However, the ocean can sometimes get a tad bit moody. If Poseidon decides to bring out the big guns, and we believe the conditions aren’t quite right for non-swimmers, we may have to call off your surf lesson. But don’t worry, we’ll make sure to reschedule it at a time that is more convenient.
How many instructors are in a group surf lesson?
Our group surf lessons always ensure a smooth ride with a one instructor to three student ratio. We make sure you get the personal attention you need!
How much do surf lessons cost?
